I went 3 years ago and was totally bored. Not worth it IMO. The guys all want to be really humble (which is great) but as a result they all sound really really boring. No one wants to appear as if they are showing anyone else up. (which again, I respect)

There are plenty of other great shows. I wouldn't bother with the effort on this one.

Because it's a GROOVE night, Yamaha is strict with everyone performing, I've heard they don't want chops...

yeah I know, but I like to hear guys do what "they do" with the tunes. The year I went every guy sounded like a fantastic drummer in a cover band and they almost all sounded the same. Solid playing but many times one sounded like the next.
